Ordinance No. 886 to Rezone Lot 5 of Herding from NRC: Natural Resource Conservation District to I-1: Light Industrial. This meeting will serve as the second reading and adoption for Ordinance No. 886 to Lot 5 Herding Addition from its current zoning of NRC: Natural Resource Conservation District to I1: Light Industrial District. The Dell Rapids Economic Development Corporation recently acquired Lot 5 and is planning to improve the property for future sale for future development. The Development Corporation is seeking a Light Industrial zoning in order to attract a future company to provide jobs and economic development for the community.
The Planning and Zoning Commission met on November 10th and recommended approval of the rezone request.
